Due to the number of SGF participants of about 200 and the goal to provide small discussion groups, some parts of the SGF conference will be held in three parallel sessions.
Furthermore the emphasis during the first conference week is on inderdisciplinary general discussions in order to stimulate new ideas and perspectives.
The following three topics of the parallel sessions should highlight different aspects in all of the 14 topics.
INDIVIDUAL - Space Benefits to Human Lives
The INDIVIDUAL session focusses on the human individuals - what will space do for you and me, the wo/man in the street. What will be the differences in differently economically developed regions on the globe? What will be key factors to benefit individuals as well as space development?
HUMANITY - Global Strategies for Space Applications
The HUMANITY perspective could be described as the perspective of the governments. In which areas will space become a key to benefit the whole society? Environmental protection, national security and peace keeping, disaster monitoring and prevention, political aspects such as "From space race to space cooperation" are typical aspects of this session.
COSMOS - Space Science and Exploration
What is there beyond the human, the human understanding and knowledge? What is there to get to know? What is there to be discovered? All those things, which are there, with and without "Earthly beings" are the focus of this parallel session.
